Blue Moon fundraiser benefits Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital
by WWAY

| Blue Moon gift shops, along with other vendors, hosted
a fundraiser for the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital on Saturday.
Visitors were able to enter a raffle, see a fashion show, and taste
one-of-a-kind treats to support a good cause. The hospital,
located in North Topsail, is a safe haven for injured sea turtles.
"All proceeds are going to go to the sea turtle hospital because they
have no national funding, federal funding, everything is volunteers.
They only get money through donations, so we were more than happy to
participate,” said Mary Ann Masucci, Blue Moon owner.
Ten percent of today's sales along with the raffle proceeds will go
to the sea turtle hospital.
